Floor preparation is the most important part of every successful floor. We start every concrete sealing by mechanically grinding the concrete floor to remove any stains, dirt and old coatings. This also helps open the concrete pores and achieve the correct profile. We then repair any imperfections in the floor to ensure the structural integrity of your new epoxy flooring.
Once the floor is fully prepared, we apply a primer that acts as a moisture barrier and prevents the concrete from breathing, so the epoxy cannot lift or peel.
When the primer has fully dried, we move on to applying the colored basecoat.
For flake flooring and quartz floor finish, this is when we also broadcast the vinyl flake chips or quartz granules.
